The all about Brooke posts...

It is all about Brookie for the next couple posts.  I took pictures of her in her recital costume and I also did her '5' year old pictures.  Enjoy!

Brooke's Birthday

We had an 'art' themed birthday party for Brookie this year.
Unfortunately for me, I got sick the night before, so her cake is store bought... (Mom fail!)  But she didn't care.  Her party turned out great.

A little about Brooke right now:

Favorite foods:  Pretty much anything but a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich and pepperoni.  She loves avocados, tomato's, meats, cheeses, fruits, veggies...you know...just food in general.

Favorite Toys:  Princesses and dolls

She loves riding her bike, and scooter and can ride while I run.  Usually about 3+ miles without getting tired.

Favorite activities: Coloring, drawing, painting, dancing, and being outside in as little clothing as possible.  No matter the temperature.  It was common this year for her to go to preschool in sandals and short sleeves when the temps were in the low 20's with snow.

Her hair HAS to be in a ponytail.  She complains when I do it any other way.

She also won't sleep in long sleeves, or wear long sleeves or pants.  She is my summer girl!

She is also taking piano lessons from me and doing a great job.  She loves practicing and has gotten much easier to teach in the last 4 months!

Children's Museum

We took a trip to Denver over Christmas break and went to the Children's Museum and met up with Katie, one of my best friends growing up.
I had low expectations, after coming from Pittsburgh.  I've been kind of avoiding zoos, and museum's because in my head nothing could live up to Pitt and I didn't want to be right.
The museum exceeded my expectations.  It was so different from the 'bugh's, and that made it worth the trip!  It isn't so much a museum, as a giant themed playhouse.  My kids loved it.

and, yes, it was December and Brooke is in shorts...
